Bookish Roundup — March, 2019

March-2019-Roundup

It’s finally Spring, and how fitting that with the new baby birds and buds on the trees that I bring to you the first Bookish Roundup of 2019? Life’s been coming at me hard, but I’m coming back at it harder, and reading my ass off at the same time. So, that there is the Pathologically Literate Survival Handbook’s Strategy for Living… just so y’all know.

Speaking of reading my ass off, let’s take a look at what I actually did read in March:

Books I read in March:

    • Inexcusable by Chris Lynch
    • Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
    • The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
    • The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald
    • A Dangerous Collaboration by Deanna Raybourn
    • Heroine by Mindy McGinnis
    • Outer Order, Inner Calm by Gretchen Rubin
    • Internment by Samira Ahmed
    • Training School for Negro Girls by Camille Acker
    • The Royal Runaway by Lindsay Emory
    • Heresy by Melissa Lenhardt
    • Harbor Me by Jacqueline Woodson
    • Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes
    • Level Up by Cathy Yardley

So many of my March books were 4-star and even 5-star reads. After two months of fairly lackluster reading, I really hit the jackpot with books like Heresy, Training School for Negro Girls, and A Dangerous Collaboration – among others. I really was pleased with nearly every book I read in this month – something that is not an usual occurrence. Seriously, the majority of these books are well over a 3.5 star rating and are well worth your while to read – so get out there and get reading, y’all!
