We had a great week here at the Pathologically Literate household; how about you? We started a new book for Read-Aloud time, To Kill a Mockingbird. The Boy made big noises about how boring it was going to be, but was then immediately transfixed by it as I began reading. That’s the way it always goes, it seems. Mama knows best, amiright? We took a trip out to my BFF’s house in the country to visit with her and her two children, and had a fabulous time – she made the most amazing homemade paninis and I am now obsessed with finding a panini-maker of my own! It was such a great time that we’re going back again this week! I read some truly great books this week, as well. Let’s take a look:

Upcoming posts for the week of July 21st:

  • Review: The Virtues of Oxygen
  • …and more!

By far, y’all, the standout hit of the week was Eleanor & Park. It was AMAZING. I loved it so, so much. I want to marry it. Truth, ya’ll, truth. Everything I Never Told you was simply haunting and so sad. OF COURSE I fit another Ron Rash book in this week, and One Foot in Eden was yet another winner. Great, great read – you want to get it, and soon. Lucky Us was an ARC, and I’ll have a review up for that very soon. The other two mysteries I read were OK, nothing to jump for joy over, but good nonetheless. After the success of Eleanor & Park, I’ve started another Rainbow Rowell book, Attachments. I’ll keep you updated on that one next week. Until then, y’all – Happy Reading!

What book/books did you read this week?
