Well, y’all, despite my best intentions, these pesky library books keep piling up! Once again, I did not seek out any new books, but several books I’d had on hold became available for checkout – bam! Five more books to add to the list. I am never going to get to any of the books that I actually own at this rate. Not to mention my three TBR lists that are about a zillion miles long – so many books, so little time… Here’s what was in this week’s haul:
- The Lost Husband by Katherine Center
- The Liar’s Gospel by Naomi Campbell
- Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver
- Trapeze by Simon Mawer
- One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf
I’m really excited about One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf – she’s quickly becoming a favorite author. Trapeze looks amazing – about a female MI6 spy in France during WWII. I’ve been wanting to read Flight Behavior and The Liar’s Gospel for quite some time, and I’ve heard good things about The Lost Husband. So all in all, I think I made out fairly well, wouldn’t you say? I really hope that you readers have gotten some good suggestions from the books I’ve been featuring on this blog. I know I don’t review a lot of newly published books; I try to follow my interests and hope that it will interest you as well. I’m really behind on my reviews; we have so many coming up in the next few weeks – maybe I’ll get lucky and things will slow down so I can write about some other things I’ve been wanting to share. Not that I’m complaining – I’m always happiest when I’m holding a book in my hands! Until next time, my friends – and happy book-hunting!
